There were shows once.
Small rooms mostly. Berlin basements. Prague concrete. Stockholm during the part of winter where nobody looked fully awake.
Some people remember them clearly. Some remember fragments: blue light, broken speakers, cigarette smoke, a woman standing too still at the microphone.
The performances became harder every time. Not musically. Physically.
The songs were written inside insomnia, inside apartments, inside recordings made at 04:12 with trains moving beneath the floor.
Stages demanded a version of Mara Veyl that could survive repetition. Night after night. City after city. Room after room.
That version did not exist for very long.
The last performances happened during the period documented in Hospital Light. After that, the body started objecting.
No dramatic ending. No final announcement. Just fewer appearances. Longer silences. Cancelled dates. Messages unanswered. The slow disappearance of the live signal.
No more shows.
Not because the music stopped mattering. Only because some things survive better in fragments than under stage lights.
